Streetline’s management team combines expertise in urban transportation and planning, sensor networking technology, and information services.
Tod Dykstra, CEO
Tod brings 15 years of management experience to Streetline, and a history of
building successful technology companies. As a Founder of Dust Networks,
he managed design, development and stable delivery of Dust’s ultra-low
power wireless mesh networking products. At NorthPoint Communications and
MFS Communications, he directed operational development and national rollout
of DSL and telephone networks delivering high quality service to thousands
of customers. Tod holds an MBA and BA, both from the University of California
at Berkeley.
Michele Senders, VP Government Affairs
Prior to joining Streetline Networks, Michele was a District Director
to U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) where she handled a wide-range of policy
issues including technology, healthcare, transportation, and land use in a
seven-county territory: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz,
Monterey, San Benito, and Alameda. As Streetline’s VP of Government Relations,
Michele guides design of Streetline’s solutions to yield the greatest
benefit to cities and the public. She holds a MA in social welfare
policy from the University of Southern California.
Jim
Reich, VP Engineering
Jim has been involved in Sensor Networks since the inception of the field. In
10 years as a researcher and Area Manager at the Palo Alto Research Center (the
former Xerox PARC), he worked on sensor networks ranging from low-powered collaborative
environment sensors to more complex acoustic and video sensors for human and
vehicle tracking, managing projects for Xerox, Fujitsu and DARPA.
Jim holds a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering (Space Avionics)
from MIT and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon
University. He is a 7-time winner of PARC and Lockheed Martin technical and team
excellence awards, holds 4 patents (with 23 pending) and is the author of numerous
technical publications.
Mark
Noworolski, CTO
Mark brings considerable expertise in low power electronics, sensor design
and development management to the Streetline team. As Founder and CEO of muNetix,
he developed and marketed compact, high-efficiency power supplies for the demanding
consumer electronics OEM market. He has received numerous awards for design
and innovation, and patents in areas of power electronics and sensor design.
Mark holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley and a BSEE from
the University of Toronto.
Scott
Dykstra, Director of Service Delivery
Scott directs all aspects of operations and service for Streetline’s customers.
He has led development of Streetline’s service operation, and the successful
rollout of the company’s systems in San Francisco and Los Angeles, CA.
Scott holds a BA and PhD in Literature from UC Berkeley. He previously held the
position of Professor of English at Western Michigan University.
Paul
A. Toliver, Advisory Board Member
Paul has 34 years of experience in the transportation industry including
Director of the King County Department of Transportation, Transit Director for
Seattle Metro, Deputy General Manager/Chief Transportation Officer for the San
Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni) and Assistant General Manager for Operations
for the New Orleans Regional Transportation Authority. Paul is a current member
and former Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Norman Y. Mineta Institute,
a former member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society
of America (ITSA). He is also a past Vice President for Management and Finance
of the American Public Transit Association and past National Chairman/President
of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials. Paul has both a Bachelor’s
of Business Administration and Master’s of Business Administration degree
from the University of Cincinnati.
Betty
Kayton, Chief Financial Officer
Betty has over 20 years of customer-oriented experience in the technology industry,
as a key member of the executive team at high-growth, venture-funded start-ups.
Her contribution ranges from strategic planning and fund raising to tactical
challengers such as building appropriate infrastructure without stifling growth.
Betty concurrently serves as CFO of several high tech companies (mobile/Wi-Fi/mesh
networks, consumer products, Web 2.0/social networking, eLearning, mobile content),
and previously was CFO at Leapfrog, Nominum, MGA Entertainment, and senior financial
management positions at Fujitsu and Citicorp. Betty was certified as a CPA while
working for Ernst & Young. She holds an MBA from the University of Southern
California and a BA from Pomona College.
